Skiboard aka short twin tip skis?
Hi all! Has anyone used the alias short Skiboard twin tip skis? I wonder if are easier to maneuver and learning in the regular skis. My husband is a director of the Youth of the local Church, this Saturday, we take skiing children. I skier in the past a handful of times but not recently. About a year and a half, I dislocated my left knee and tore some ligaments. I have not had any problems with my knee since then, aside from some weakness and tenderness with a large amount of physical activity. I am concerned, if skiing / snowboarding I aggrevate the injury, so I think that reinforcements are on the safe side. I was told to stay away from snowboarding, because if I fall, the Council has not released (such as links on the skis to do), but with long skis, which tend to have difficulty manuvering around. I think maybe this could be a good alternative Skiboard, but would like some information on them and their thoughts someone who has no experience. Thank you!
Skiboard / Snowblades … whatever. This is good for doing tricks in the terrain park and just about everything. The piping is required to work more efficiently. This puts more emphasis on your knees because you roll your ankles in the corners. I used once since I left ACL in 2006. I had a lot of pain … but carries the added pressure immediately. Ski lenghth regularly lower the better. It is also more difficult to stop Snowblades snowplow. If you have not skied in a while and return to skills Fundamental … as snowplows … is easier to do on skis. If you skate or ice skate often, then you may have the power to control the knee Snowblades undisturbed. … In addition, some rental snowboards not use a traditional DIN binding. Many who saw the link they do not release easily. So if you fall, can not go, then maybe make the injury worse. (The snowboards, we rented in the workplace not reject the guy.)
